Attendee Spotlight with Brittany Lo Photography
Take us back to this perfect golden afternoon with the edgy, sensual and oh so sexy vibes our attendee Brittany Lo Photography captured. This was TSS’s first styled engagement session and you can definitely see more of these coming soon!
Speaking of firsts we met Brittany back in 2018 when she first attended our Moody Alice in Wonderland shootout and she killed it then with her bright but moody style. We figured it’s time to sit down and get to know Britt a little better.
What inspired you to get into photography?
My children! I started out just taking photos of my kids and putting them on my insta. Slowly, followers would ask me what I'd charge to take pictures of their kids. I did family photography for about a year, and then I finally got my first opportunity to shoot an elopement! The couple and 30 of their friends flew out from the UK and trusted ME to tell their story. I wanted to puke I was so nervous. Long story short, that elopement got published on blogs all over the wedding industry and I instantly became addicted!
How would you describe your photography style?
I would describe my editing warm - light, but blacks are still true - glowy (is that a word?) my clients have described it as fun, energetic, laughing until you cry. There are days I struggle with my edits, but there are also days where I love them. I just remind myself that's part of the evolution process in my career & I embrace it.
What did you think about your first shootout with The Shootout Society?
I loved it! Brianna is the cutest and always makes you feel welcomed! I also attended the forest shootout and the styling was amazing!
How has attending a shootout changed your business?
It definitely helps add to your portfolio. Sometimes clients get stuck looking at the same stuff on Pinterest so they think that's what they should use as their inspo. You need to help guide them and SHOW them different options so they realize their bridals/elopement can be different. The shootout I think helps with that.
Who would you recommend our shootouts to?
Any photographer whose looking to add to their portfolio! Maybe I'll be there and we can chill too haha!
